Ben loves working with people to help make sense of their current situation and connect to what’s important to them. He guides his clients to get more done, feel better about themselves and reduce overwhelm and anxiety.

Ben is a caring and friendly coach with a lighthearted and curious style. His multi-disciplinary coaching, backed up by over a decade of his own personal transformational journey, enables his clients to access an inner awareness and language that leads to profound levels of insight, wisdom and courage. The focus is then on integrating this wisdom and language into day to day life and entering into a creative feedback process where every action builds progress.

Ben acknowledges the challenges of ADHD, particularly of living in a neurotypical culture that creates an underlying overwhelm and anxiety from adjusting to other people’s systems. The immense effort that goes into our coping mechanisms and the power of our beliefs can be redirected towards strengths and developing a stronger identity and sense of self. It is a creative process that brings rich results.

Ben’s own personal transformation journey started in 2010 when he trained as a yoga teacher. He loved teaching yoga yet decided that he needed to focus on his own personal issues first. In 2015 he started practising Vipassana Meditation and became certified as a master practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming. These disciplines have allowed him to develop deeper personal experiences and relationships as well as enable others to do the same.

He has since qualified as a Life Coach and continues to train in other complementary disciplines as well. He is an active member of a transformational men’s group, receives regular 1:1 coaching himself and attends various retreats and trainings based around self enquiry and dyad meditations, therapeutic breathwork and nature/wisdom journeying.

Since 2010 Ben has also been supporting his wife who has combined ADHD in her creative business. They went on to win several awards in NYC at the Independent Handbag Designer Awards. However in 2019 time was called on the business, realising it was not the lifestyle either of them wanted.

It was a big change when they retreated to Cornwall, using all the creative, marketing and business skills they had learnt to help other entrepreneurs. This has led to Ben having a wealth of small business and entrepreneurial experience, which can be incorporated into the coaching framework if required.

“Ben has a unique way of working enabling you to recognise and tap into your inner strengths and talents.”

“My favourite a-ha moment when working with Ben was realising how I could be creating boundaries and transitions between the different roles I play in life, which has allowed me to be more present in each role.

I also experienced the value of acknowledging life ‘as it is right now’ as a fundamental basis/requirement for authentic intentional progress.”

Testimonials

When I started with Ben I was looking for help specifically with my business and how I could implement strategies to help with my business.

I chose Ben due to his background in yoga as I thought we would vibe. I was right.

I think, even though I was looking for logistical help, I was drawn to Ben for the help he has given me in every aspect of life.

He has been very adaptable, helping me through difficult emotional situations, when work was the last thing on my mind, and I think that the work we have done has grounded me so much that I feel confident continuing on my path in self-employment, rather than ‘giving up’ to move back into employment.

Grounding and porous boundaries were the biggest issues that came up. These things were affecting every part of my life.

Ben challenged my thoughts in a way that I now have lots of different angles to look from, and his use of visualisation and meditation really reinforced the goals we have established for me moving forward.

If you want a holistic approach to your specific struggles, knowing that every aspect of life is interconnected, whether we want it to be or not. Ben is the right person for you!

Ben’s knowledge of neurodivergence, and how certain struggles can be explained from a neurological standpoint, really helps to understand and put in place strategies to overcome our challenges.

Where I was when I started – doing too much and not getting anywhere, with shiny object syndrome. Ignoring the toxic relationship that was reinforcing the porous, people pleasing nature of my boundaries in every aspect of life.

Where I am now – Happily saying ‘no’ to my loved ones when their expectations/demands are unreasonable in relation to who I am and what I stand for.

I have broken the chain and am aware of many other patterns that I will continue to interrupt to ensure I am living primarily for myself.

I reached out to Ben as I was desperate to feel energized about life again. Since meeting with Ben I have noticed a significant shift to my inner dialogue along with a rejuvenated optimism, focus and drive. This is a huge deal for me. The biggest improvements are the curiosity I now afford my thoughts and the power of intention.

This has allowed me to deepen my understanding of my real goals and question myself honestly which is a completely new feeling that I’m still exploring personally. Through this I’ve been able to remove some unnecessary baggage and put energy into the correct places. I’m already feeling calmer and more in control as well as a more present dad which was one of my main goals.

I have long been told ‘be kind to yourself’ and while that made sense I actually didn’t know how to do that or what it truly meant until working with Ben. I’d say the most effective exercise that helped me connect to my thoughts was to ‘interview my troll’. I found this very funny and went away and learned a lot about what my blocks were. This new curious approach has been a complete game-changer that positively affects almost every aspect of how I now process thoughts and information. I now feel more connected to what matters and, through other exercises, feel like I have the tools to achieve it.

There have been many many great analogies and dots that Ben has helped me connect but one particular moment was in our first session when we did a visualization exercise and it became apparent to me I hadn’t clearly defined my goals, which was a surprise to me as I had naturally felt like I was on a path and it was external things that held me back. This realization was a huge help in understanding why I didn’t feel in control or sense of achievement. From this exercise I was/am now aware of the importance of decluttering and defining goals which has helped me get back on track, feel more in control and strangely lighter as I was able to cut through some BS goals I didn’t really care about. This has brought excitement and hope to the future but also allowed me to review things I had already achieved and forgot to appreciate.

I find the sessions so light and breezy, probably due to how Ben uses his gift of humour to help me relax and get into it. Our sessions are a highlight of my week. I always have at least a handful of ‘oh yeah’ moments, some mind expanding concepts and I always leave with energy, focus and new techniques to try. Ben’s methods have ignited connections that other practitioners were unable to and I wholeheartedly recommend you chat to him.

My sessions with Ben have really helped me get through a long phase of low mood and overwhelm. Ben has helped me manage my symptoms of ADHD.

I feel like I have a new perspective of my life and have learnt ways of dealing with my issues related to ADHD such as making changes to my environment and planning ahead.

I have moved through a period of burnout due to stress and overwhelm and have taken action. I have also learnt to appreciate what I have and what I have achieved, making me feel more positive about the future.

Ben was surprisingly sensitive and fun, i enjoyed the activities that were a creative and helped me envision things in the way my brain understands.

I have been able to make to big decisions and take action with my work/life balance.

Thanks Ben 😌

“I was searching for a therapist who had experience of ADHD. I found Ben via the Headstuff ADHD Therapy website. As soon as I made contact with Ben I knew I had made the right decision and felt a real connection with him.

Since working together I have become more self aware, feeling more confident in dealing with challenges. Recognising my significant strengths and life experience.

Ben has enabled me to see life’s challenges as opportunities for growth rather than problems.
I have been able to recognise the importance of addressing my own needs and learning to say no. I realised that I have lived my life putting the needs of others before myself. This realisation has been life changing for me.

I have been surprised how after a lifetime of struggling how much I have grown in just a few sessions with Ben. I have felt empowered by our sessions and have been able to apply the insights to my life between sessions.

Ben has a unique way of working enabling you to recognise and tap into your inner strengths and talents. Some of our most productive sessions have been when I’ve not had an agenda and worked with my feelings in the moment.

I have worked as a Counsellor for many years and have had counselling myself at various points in my life. I have no hesitation in recommending Ben if you are looking to move forward in your life.”

Ben’s coaching sessions were my first experience of ADHD coaching or talk therapy of any kind. Ben is a friendly, warm and thoughtful presence and really helped me in several areas, but especially in enabling me to become more aware of my own emotional states and get better at being ‘in the moment’. He is very good at ‘going with the flow’ of the session and exploring whatever emerges. Working with Ben has been extremely positive and helped improve my relationships with those closest to me, as well as my knowledge of myself.

Reconnection with my children…
The number one thing Ben helped me to achieve was a reconnection with my children. As a father it’s hard to think of anything more important in life.

My favourite a-ha moment when working with Ben was realising how I could be creating boundaries and transitions between the different roles I play in life, which has allowed me to be more present in each role.

I also experienced the value of acknowledging life ‘as it is right now’ as a fundamental basis/requirement for authentic intentional progress.

From ‘landing’ in the present I have been able to bring more curiosity and playfulness into my creative process – which is deeply satisfying. I had become accustomed to ‘hotwiring’ my creative process.

Ben’s way of working is unpressured and freeing. We went at my pace, not his and there were no hidden agendas about getting ‘results’. It was more about guiding me to become aware of deeper fundamental processes and then enabling me to update and improve upon them.

One additional a-ha moment was noticing the difference between saying ‘and’ instead of ‘but’. It encourages integration rather than a binary approach to the reflection of experience.

I got in contact with Ben at a point in my life where I felt lost in my career. Not only did Ben hugely help with this, but also with a number of other facets of my life.

Ben has helped me put a new perspective on “how I was doing.”
He helped me put value on the things that really matter and recognise the positives.

Although there were a number of Ah-Ha moments, getting a new perspective on what I probably already knew I found to be massively helpful.

Thank you Ben.

I really looked forward to each sessions and although totally professional they were fun and freeing.

I would 100% recommend the sessions to anyone, you’ll love it.

J. 42. Father. Cornwall, UK.

I wanted to get more from my weekly schedule without losing my work-life balance and without it feeling like any more work.

Ben helped me to value the things I am doing, and tap into some deep energy for the things I want more of.

The number one thing I learned was about boundaries and an ability to say no, gently but clearly. I also now have a cork-board on the wall with clear visions and plans which is really helpful.

The sessions were a safe space for conversation, I felt heard, it was fun, and we did some relaxing closed-eye visualisations and used some vivid metaphors, which really brought some key ideas and feelings to life. Thank you Ben. I totally recommend anyone to work with you who wants to create and achieve great things! Yes!
